At DD Law, Mohit primarily practices Family, Immigration and Refugee Law. Since being called to the bar in 2020, he has represented clients at the Provincial and Supreme levels of court in British Columbia, the Federal Court of Canada, the Immigration Appeal Division and the Refugee Protection/Appeal Division. He has also argued successful administrative deferrals with the Canada Border Services Agency. He serves his clients in English, Hindi and Punjabi.

Mohit initially began his legal journey in New Delhi, India, where he was called to the bar in 2016. Post his call, he practiced Family and Criminal law at a boutique firm in New Delhi, while volunteering with different governmental organizations in India such as the National Legal Services Authority and National Human Rights Commission. His model project, “Vikalp Law Society” is still active in Delhi and provides elementary education and legal aid to the underprivileged.

His zeal to travel and practice law in another jurisdiction brought him to Canada, which he now calls home. He finished his LL.M at Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2018 where served as the Vice President of the Graduate Law Students’ Society.

Outside of law, Mohit is a theatre enthusiast and often spends his time performing with theatre groups and doing short movies. He also enjoys outdoor activities and adventure sports with having experienced Scuba Diving, Rafting and Paragliding. Having moved to Canada in 2017 and being away from his family and friends, he is grateful to have met wonderful people along his journey and adopts the same value system while serving his clients.
